One of my time-killers is to look up classes on the MIT OpenCourseWare website where they essentially post whole courses for free to the general public. Which is to say, all you are missing are the lectures from the professors (but you still get the notes/slides/etc.). Anyway, I noticed this class on solar stuff that you might be interested in reading up on.
